Steve Shivers

Accompanist

Steve Shivers, Collaborative Pianist, is Pastor of Music at Community Bible Church in Stockbridge, Georgia.

He earned the Bachelor of Music degree and Master of Music degree in piano performance at Peabody Conservatory. As a student at Peabody, he was recognized in The National Dean’s List and Outstanding Young Men of America. He is extremely grateful to his teachers, Mrs. Louise Jones, Mrs. Jeannine Morrison, and Mr. Julio Esteban, who provided outstanding direction and foundation for his musical career.

Mr. Shivers served as an Instructor of Music at Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia, for over 20 years. His piano students have won numerous local and state awards, and many have continued to successful careers in music. He began the Preparatory School of Music at Clayton State, where it grew to serve over 200 students, the largest of its kind in the state of Georgia. He has also served as the director of many musical productions.

He can be heard on many recordings as solo pianist, accompanist, keyboard artist or songwriter.

A sought-after collaborator, Mr. Shivers has worked with numerous choral directors in the Atlanta
area. He regularly serves as accompanist for Honor Choruses, All-State, concerts, and festivals. He has performed in Germany, Scotland, England, and in the U.S.

Steve is married to Denise, a vocal coach and choral director. He and Denise are the parents of five children, and they are blessed with seven grandchildren: Mason, Abby, Adelaide, Ivan, Bree, Amelia and Eliana
