Our twelfth appearance at Spivey Hall features music from Great Britain. You’ll be enchanted with the Chorale’s sensitive performance of works by Vaughan Williams, Britten, Byrd, and Rutter as well as British and Scottish folk songs. The Chorale is thrilled to be collaborating for this concert with Alan Morrison, an Atlanta native who heads the Curtis Institute of Music’s organ department and is Organist-in- Residence for Spivey Hall’s 25th Season.

SCC continues our tradition of supporting youth organizations with this splendid evening of choral music. SCC will be joined by Griffin Choral Arts and Sandy Creek High School Chorus. The Concert will benefit AVPRIDE which is a Youth Leadership Development organization that offers tutoring, mentoring and youth development programs.

Now in its fourteenth season, the Southern Crescent Chorale holds an important place in the vibrant arts community of south metro Atlanta. Passionately conducted by veteran choral director Janice Folsom, the Chorale delivers dynamic performances of major works, as well as opera, spirituals, Broadway and pop favorites, at venues throughout the region.
